I like this

There's more than one way to get from here to there. There's more than one way to arrange dishes in the dishwasher. There's more than one way to put together a salad. There's more than one way to deliver a toast. There's more than one excellent choice for lunch, for vacation, for a computer~for just about anything.

Once you make a choice, don’t second-guess yourself. Looking back won’t get you anywhere. If you've made a good choice, there's no point in wondering if it’s the best choice. Move forward, always forward.

Today's Message of the Day is:

Keep Moving

By its very nature, life is dynamic. That makes it impossible to truly stand still.
If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind. So every day, in some way or another, take action to move your life forward.
Just a small improvement, just a subtle positive step, is infinitely preferable to doing nothing. Always, there is some little something you can do to better your life and your world.
What can you do right now to solve a problem that's been frustrating you? What step can you take in the next few minutes that will bring you closer to the accomplishment of an important goal?
There is something you can do, and those small efforts quickly add up as time goes on. So instead of complaining that you can't get it all accomplished at once, do a little bit, and then do it again.
Always, your life is filled with energy, and is moving in one direction or another. Harness that energy, align it with your highest purpose, and proceed constantly in the direction of your dreams.

Momentum

I have the support I need to succeed.
Many worthwhile endeavors are not completed quickly, but rather take time. I know that each experience I have builds on something I have learned or experienced in the past. It's as though I'm building a life brick by brick.
The decisions I make and the lessons I learn may seem to result in only small steps forward. But with each one, I build momentum toward the accomplishment of my goals.
Whether I'm following an exercise program, learning a new skill or developing a savings plan, the creation process is a spiritual one. I rely on God for help, support and guidance. I trust the creative process, knowing that I have the strength, will and energy I need to succeed.

"Be strong and courageous ... for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."--Joshua 1:9

Angels. . .

When most of us reflect upon Angels, we conjure up pictures in our minds of beautiful mystical beings with opulent wings and golden haloes. We may recall various childhood memories of stories told of Angels and what they represent from the various religions we studied, or schools we attended.

But for me, Angels were always so much more than that. They were an ongoing part of my everyday world.

I am sure that if you look at your own life and the people in it, you will find Angels everywhere. The problem is, that most of the time, we just take it all for granted. We go about our day often lost in thought, oblivious to the world all around us, unaware of the miracles that abound and the countless Angels who grace our path.

It is my sincere desire that today, you OPEN YOUR EYES to not only SEE the Angels in your own life, but to be an Angel for someone else. And, It is my profound hope that just for today, you can rise above your mere mortal existence and walk among the gods.

What is Happiness?

What is happiness? Let me share this little story with you, one you may have heard before but still worth repeating. A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window.

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait!!"

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied. "Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged... it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life."

My Wish For You Today

That you take some time to close your eyes and IMAGINE and DREAM, so big and so deep, that you become like the caterpillar, who emerges as the butterfly.

That you LAUGH today, harder than you have ever laughed before, so hard, that your sides ache, and tears stream down your beautiful, glistening face.

That you LEARN something new today, something so utterly amazing, that it shakes you up, and rocks your world.

That you SAVOR the little things in your day today, your first cup of coffee, snuggling with your puppy, your baby's sighs, your loved ones embrace.

That you SMELL one magnificent flower, so close and so intensely, that your nose rejoices to be a part of such an extraordinary face.

That you SEE, really see, your own soul reflected in someone else's eyes, and you don't run away, even though you'd like to.

That you WALK today, with a firm step, and a confident stride, as if you are really going somewhere, because you are.

That you PRETEND you are rich and witty and wise, whatever it is you are wanting to be, act as if, pretend it now.

That you FORGIVE everyone who has ever hurt you, and you understand the deeper purpose of all your pain.

That you really SMILE at someone today, as though they were your long lost lover come home again to steal your heart.

That you TASTE everything in your life today, the food, the wine, the rain drops, the snow flakes, each other, with your eyes closed, and your senses fully open.

That you PLAY today, with all the innocence and abandon of a sweet child, unaware of anything else, but this precious moment.

That you ALLOW yourself to just BE today, whatever your heart calls you to be, and DO only those things that inspire your soul.

That you tell the truth, and keep your word, and judge no man. That you FORGET today, forget your age, forget your past, forget your aches and pains.

And begin to REMEMBER, who you really are, and why you came here, and how very much you are loved.
